Having searched for Minis solidly for 2-3 weeks, I came across this beauty via Facebook Marketplace but it was unfortunately too highly priced for me! I dropped a quick message to see how flexible they were on price as they were open to sensible offers so I went to view it. not long after a deal was struck and a few days later she was collected…
Marigold, aptly named by my wife, is a 1973 Austin Mini Clubman Auto – the previous owners had looked after her more than 41 years! She’s a real barn find having been laid up for the last 20 years and needing a little TLC to get running again.
I’ve had a couple of minis before but never a clubman. So excited to give the car a new lease of life as it’s been stood 20 years so a proper barn find!
Currently Marigold has been striped to a bare shell in order to remove every trace of rust whilst maintaining originality and OEM bodywork.
